One of the toughest serves to return is the wide serve on the deuce side. In today’s lesson, Brady demonstrates how to effectively return this serve with authority.

First two points are good. You have to go directly to the ball, most likely at an angle, but you should never hit the return cross court. That’s where your opponent should be standing, especially if they come to the net. The only choice you have is to hit the ball down line. Practice that every day! Both sides of the court.

Your first two points are very usefil. On the third, in doubles, pulled out wide you are in greater danger of their netman intercepting your cross-court return ( I see this play all the time at the highest pro level even). but given your first 2 points they enable you to teturn a more-angled shot into a narrower window. If the netman moves aggressively to the central strap, a down-the-line may be a relativly higher percentage shot.

In doubles the body serve i scommon. I hope you deal wih that , at the backhand hip, in future episodes
