Where you stand at the baseline in doubles obviously will differ immensely compared to singles. In today’s lesson, Brady demonstrates where to stand at the baseline in a typical doubles rally.

very good advice, I find this helpful especially on thee ad side as a righty, where I can rip a forehand
Furthjer to my earlier comment, i tried it out this morning with my hitting partner whose forehand swing path automatically generates a ball flying off the court to the right. i adjusted my position to mimic returning serve on duce side and your tip worked liked a charm. had to take more shots coming into deuce court on my backhand, but my backhand is solid – so no problem. Thanks
Good advise

very interesting. I found your arguments persuasive on the deuce side, and indeed i am often impressed by the effective range on the forehand of the pros on that side.
However i generally play on the ad side ( where the coverage on the backhand volley from a 3.5 partner) is not as good and i am trying to mentally stand more toward the center , because if not, too many times we are losing points from their shots placed down the middle “solving the riddle).
I’ll try it.
