The ‘directionals’ are a great guide for playing high percentage tennis…but they are not the law. In today’s lesson, Brady demonstrates 3 times where it actually makes sense to go against the directionals.

    Sorry, I do not know what the term “directionals” means. I haven’t been instructed with that term. Some day I’ll learn it … or maybe figure it out the hard way.

    Hi Brady, Excellent information. Directionals are great but we see the pros deviate from them a lot, we should too but only on our opponents weaker shots or on your ‘weapon’ shot (as you say). Many times you create more space by NOT doing a directional, giving you the advantage to take control – especially to your opponent’s weakness and your strength. Thanks. Jim S.
