You are a novel teacher and I really liked your point here regarding Keep The Head Up when hitting either serve or overhead shots. A peculiar fallacy sneaks into many kinds of human activity, including producing reproducibly sound tennis strokes. I’m talking here about mistakenly focusing on A (some desired performative outcome) rather than focusing on B (the set of work steps that generate that outcome). This error can badly harm performance. The underlying “secret fix” that amazingly gets re-discovered every few years in various sports (and industries too) is that our conscious, deliberate focus — in the moment — should be laser-focused on PROCESS — by definition, that buzzword “process” means the linked set of executed work steps themselves.
