The serve consists of many parts that all must flow together. In today’s lesson, Brady progressively goes through how he teaches the service motion beginning with the stance, toss and rocking motion.

I’m not clear about the rock motion, as it seems to contradict other coaches, especially Mark Kovacs, who speak about the crucial metric for a powerful serve being rear hip displacement, which involves having most of the weight on the back leg. Can you help me understand?

I would add the importance of the “swing” of the racket. One “continuous motion” of the racket without a”hitch” or “Stop”!
This allows the Maximum racket speed and power.
This can only be achieved if the racket is brought in a “circle motion”, over the player head and continues on in a circle path to hit the ball.
I may not be communicating the WHIPPING motion clearly, but the increase racket speed and power is enormous.
I see this Motion in your Serve and the power achieved.
I would really like to hear your comments on this tip.
