So interesting! I have always assumed I need a looser grip so that the ball doesn’t fly….so when I hit it long, it is because my racket has been pushed back and the face opened up? And I should still assume on hard hit low balls that I volley that i need a looser grip?
Thanks for the info!this will really help my doubles players.
In doubles I often see players at the net trying to get out of the way when balls with pace are hit at them. I would like to add that I usually use the backhand volley on balls hit directly at my body.
