The path the racket travels along with the angle of the racket are two major factors that determine the direction of the tennis ball. In today’s lesson, Brady demonstrates how the angle of the racket at contact will greatly dictate the direction on a serve.

Your serve is a thing of exquisite accuracy, power and beauty! I’m trying to emulate the lag you have and the power you get. My coach says to get the hitting elbow up so I can hit down on the ball. It gives me top spin and a jump as it hits! I will work on accuracy though I do hit top right of the ball when I’m going out wide. The two most difficult for me are down the tee on both sides. I also focus on getting the racket coming back a tad over my head and then pronating somewhat to the inside and then outward…seems to get more power as well. My kick serve is coming but not as strong as I would like. Appreciate your videos. Not your average 83 year old!
