There are several way to handle pace off the baseline. In today’s lesson, Brady demonstrates how making a small adjustment to your follow through can help keep the ball in court and also reply with depth and spin.

I always like your comments Brady. Please talk about the differences between pace and weight of shot. A ball can be slower but have lots of weight, heft due to topspin. You can hit a flat deep fast shot that doesn’t have much weight. You can also hit a curving slice, low over the net that has weight to it. The weight of shot as well as depth of shot on court matters more than speed. A fast ball redirected just goes back to the opponent fast. Thanks again.
