Nice tip. Never thought about magnifying the spin before.

Sometimes it’s better to work with the spin rather than negating it. Thanks Mestengo!

Makes good sense to hit a dropper from a topspin return; can’t wait to try it.

It works really well. The more incoming topspin often equals an easier the drop shot.

Don’t I got a lot of backspin when I’m responding to a slice shot with a dropshot, or is this with a topspin shot more!?
I have always the feeling that I can put more/extra backspin on a shot when it already comes with backspin.

But if I got it correctly we can get more backspin after a topspin shot than after a flat or slice shot?
thanks in advance for the answers.

If you take an incoming ball that has topspin and hit slice off of it, you’re continuing the same spin of the ball which makes it easier to hit backspin. If you hit backspin off of backspin you’re reversing the spin. The same for hitting topspin off of topspin.

I understand retrieving the client’s topspin ball but I never put that together with the drop shot! That really increases the revs enhancing control. Thanks so much. Yes

Yep ‘revolutions’ is a great term to use in this situation. Try it out, it can work really well in your favor.
