There are subtle differences between hitting crosscourt vs down the line off the backhand wing. In today’s lesson, Brady demonstrates how he aims his backhand to different targets on the court.

Which Head Speed racquet model do you use. Recommend for a 4.0 player?

Thanks Rick! That’s just for those who watch these lessons on YouTube where I also post some of these.

Another very good video, I appreciate the detail/depth of tour analysis and the fine points regarding foot placement and analysis of focus on which part of the ball to hit (eg, for down the line vs cross court). Your detail encourages me to be more detailed in my play.

Be detailed when learning and in practice, execute when you’re competing. Thanks Bob!

I can’t ever find the like button, but your videos are super helpful. Definitely helping with my weak 4.0 game. I think I moved up from limp to weak. I’m in Georgia and wish I was close enough to get one on one lessons.

Very good. How about the nside out backhand, so often useful for return of serve in deuce court

Yes, probably only time you would hit an inside-out backhand. Just don’t be late on it! Thanks JLee.

on the slice backhand what is the best way to only get a very small part of the bottom of the ball for the best slice. I always seem to hit too much of the ball.

Don’t turn your palm down so early and try not to lead with the bottom edge of the racket. I’ve got a few videos on the slice backhand, be sure to check them out!

I guess same goes for the two-hander, I use the slice about half the time.
